Clinical
Aromatherapy
My qualification is a diploma in Aromatherapy with ITEC, International Therapy Examination Council. Clinical aromatherapy is the controlled use of 42 essential oils. Combining massage and the use of aromatherapy
essential oils, helps with many physical and psychological conditions and is excellent for relaxation. Essential oils are pure aromatic substances extracted, distilled or expressed from flowers, herbs, trees and fruits. If massage is contraindicated after the consultation, the essential oils can be administered via steam inhalation, bath blends, sprays, blends for burners, creams tailor blended to suit individual needs or pre-blended rubs. The essential oils are absorbed by the skin and pass via the blood stream to all parts of the body and have many therapeutic properties. Some oils stimulate or sedate, while others calm and balance. Utilising these aromatherapy essential oils can bring relief to a wide range of conditions including;
Muscular pain/sprains/tension Rehabilitation for injury work in conjunction with Sports Massage Migraines/Headaches Backache/Lumbago/Sciatica/Whiplash/Frozen Shoulder Digestive conditions incl; colitis/crohns/diverticulitis/indigestion/constipation/irritable bowel syndrome Arthritis Stress/Anxiety/Tension/Depression Insomnia PMT/Menopause Eczema Asthma Respiratory disorders/Allergies Nervous system disorders Endocrine disorders
